Ta Prohm (Jungle Temple)

Ta Prohm's original name was Rajavihara, meaning "monastery of the King". It was built as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. The construction of the temple is dated to 1186AD. It was abandoned in 1500 and allowed to return to the jungle.  Today many structures have been stabilised but no major restoration work has been done and many of the buildings are being strangled by 300 year old trees.

This was the best known scene from Tomb Raider.

This building is being restored and all blocks are marked and numbered.
