What a difference a day makes, we have made it into China and boy is this place amazing...we caught the train up here a quick 2 hour trip and it was so smooth and comfortable ....we left earlier than the scheduled time, not sure what that was about got here a little later than the scheduled time but it was certainly more efficient and comfortable than what we have at home....took forever to get to the hotel well everything here takes forever.....we have just came back in from a walk around Walking Street and I wish that I could give you the sounds and smells....the place is thick with cigarette smoke and the smells of so many different foods, the most disgusting is the tripe and offal bubbling away, not sure how you would be able to eat it but they must do.....everything is so loud & they have music blaring in all the shops and people out the front banging signs and screaming at the top of their lungs to get you to come into their shop...it really is a eye opener, can't see it being too successful in Sydney..my hair smells of smoke just like I had been in a club or pub back in the day when you could smoke inside.....oh and legs are a bit sore today from the 4 million steps yesterday.......the boys have gone for a massage....oh I forgot they had the coffee on the train and it was another fail....new hotel they can try again in the morning.....

One of the many gourd shops the one hanging down that looks like a pumpkin was so cool but another shop a few doors up had a better one that had a twisted stem... |

This door was just stunning it looked like it had been there for a very long time there were shops either side of it that had the roller shutters but this place just seemed like it was stuck in another time... |
